Mansions
Newport is renown internationally for its mansions from America’s Gilded Age. There are various tour options, which can be found on the Discover Newport website above. A good way to enjoy mansions is to use a guided tour from Viking Tours which has been in business since 1962. Here are some options. More can be found at https://vikingtoursnewport.com

Cliff Walk
An alternative to guided tours is Cliff Walk, a public access walking track that runs between the ocean and the rear of mansion properties. Cliff Walk is 3.5 miles long, in 5 segments. The northern half of the Cliff Walk is the easiest portion to navigate. The walkway is paved here, and sturdy fences protect you from taking a tumble as you walk along the oceanside cliffs. The address of this northern start point is 117 Memorial Blvd. with street parking. Easton’s Beach is nearby too. If you intend to go the entire 3.5-mile distance, be prepared with sturdy footwear, as conditions along the final mile or so of the trail are rough and much more challenging. Shopping
Conde Nast Traveler named Newport the Best Walking City in the US. If we had to guess, we'd say it's because these parts are laden with eclectic shops and boutiques (plus a whole lot of historic charm and architectural treasures). Meander cobblestone streets and bustling wharves for the most unique finds. Discover Newport has a list of some 400 featured shops here https://www.discovernewport.org/things-to-do/shopping/#listings. But your best bet is just to walk through Newport and discover shops on your own!
