Newport Marriott Hotel, Newport, RI 25 America's Cup Blvd, Newport, RI Our seventh conference returns to the Fall this year for petroleum marketers and industry vendors. It is co-sponsored by the Connecticut Energy Marketers Association, the Energy Marketers Association of Rhode Island and the Massachusetts Energy Marketers Association and the New York State Energy Coalition. The Southern New England Energy Conference returns to the Newport Marriott. The hotel underwent a $35 million renovation seven years ago, featuring a sweeping atrium where we'll hold our Monday open-bar reception, all-remodeled harbor-view rooms, and a spacious conference center conducive to our annual event for vendor exhibitors and attendees alike. Our conference is focused on education programs. Though we're not a trade show, we still offer up to 28 vendor exhibits, which are excellent networking opportunities for a conference our size. Please see the Schedule Tab for session details. 2022 Featured Opening Keynote: RI Gov. Dan McKee
![]() We are pleased to announce that Rhode Island Governor Daniel McKee has been re-elected governor of Rhode Island. He gave the opening luncheon keynote address at our conference last year on June 20. He discussed the state's energy policies and its strong leadership in the region for moving the industry to increasingly higher blends of biofuels for heating.
Notably, he's the only high elected official to speak at an industry event in recent memory, and is the only governor in the country who is an owner in a heating oil business, McKee Brothers Energy Solutions in Cumberland, RI. He Is a third generation owner of this company founded in 1900. It's important for us to have a champion among Northeast governors, who otherwise are hostile to our industry. Thanks to Diane Quesnelles of EMARI for securing this important guest! 4.5 min. video tour of Newport
